A Simple Speaker (2015)
In simple terms this is a concept for a speaker that reads and amplifies EM waves created by an external speaker. I started this project after hitting what was essentially a stopgap while working at Pebble. Constantly cycling between different bluetooth devices was exhausting, especially when things didn't work. I wanted more simple implementations. At the same time I was in need of a new speaker, and realized that despite listening to music for hours each day, I didn't really know how they worked. I knew the basics, of course, but not the nuances. So, what better way to learn about speakers than to build one?
